Mahindra KUV100 facelift to get smaller headlamps, restyled bumper & new alloy wheels

Though no specific launch date has been confirmed, expect the Mahindra KUV100 facelift to launch in India this year itself.

Mahindra and Mahindra looks to have begun its work on the mid-life facelift variant of it’s entry level product, the KUV100. The test mule of the same has been spotted for the first time in India, in Chennai under heavy camouflage. That said, the details regarding the new iteration of the Mahindra KUV100 can be easily seen. The facelifted version of this crossover between a hatchback and an SUV, gets a completely restyled front bumper with new air-intakes and revised fog-lamps. Above it, the signature headlamps of the Mahindra KUV100, which earlier used to stretch up the A-Pillar now feature a shortened look and wrap themselves around only up till the front fender. The side profile of the heavily camouflaged Mahindra KUV100 facelift looks to be entirely identical to model which is currently on sale. However, the KUV100 facelift’s test mule rides of new 15-inch alloy wheels, slightly different from the ones adorned by the current iteration of the vehicle. Towards the back, things are rather unchanged. That said, the tail-lamps, along with the bumper seems to bear a slightly new design. Not concrete details regarding the cabin of the Mahindra KUV100 facelft have been revealed, but expect the same to come with minor updates as well. The dashboard could get a new colour scheme while the feature list could be improved. Talking about the engine specifications, they will remain the same as before. The petrol derivative will continue to be powered by the same 1.2-litre G80 mFalcon engine which pumps out 82Bhp while the diesel motor will get the same 1.2-litre L D75 mFlacon unit producing 77Bhp of power. The transmission responsibilities will be taken care of by a 5-speed manual gearbox. Talking about prices, not much changes will be observed, they will continue to fall in the range of INR 4.5 lakh to 7.8 lakh (ex-showroom).
