In addition to its current lineup of models including the Scorpio, Bolero, Xylo and XUV 500, Mahindra has introduced the all new Genio pickup in South Africa – one of company’s biggest export markets. Mahindra says the new Genio pick up is the result of extensive global research in which the requirements of pickup buyers across various markets were taken into the account.
Manufactured at Mahindra’s facility in Chakan, the Mahindra Genio pickup will be exported to South Africa where the carmaker operates through over 50 dealerships.
Commenting on the launch of the new Genio pickup, Mr. Ashok Thakur, CEO of Mahindra South Africa, said, “This new addition is in response to customer requests and in line with Mahindra's policy of listening to feedback and adapting our product range to meet these needs, when volumes make it viable”.
“In the case of the Genio with drop sides and a flat load bed we see this is well suited to small business operators in need of a versatile, reliable and tough 1.2 tonne light commercial vehicle to facilitate their daily working operations and delivery needs” he added.
