Mahindra NuvoSport: 10 key highlights you should know

Mahindra & Mahindra, the country’s leading SUV maker, is ready to launch its all new sub-4 meter compact SUV, the Mahindra NuvoSport, in the Indian market. The NuvoSport will replace the existing Mahindra Quanto in its product portfolio. The sub-compact SUV is scheduled to be launched on April 4. Recently, Mahindra had revealed the vehicle to the public while the official documents were leaked a few days back. Here we list out the 10 key highlights of the Mahindra NuvoSport. 10 Key Highlights of the Mahindra NuvoSport

Design: The SUV is completely designed and developed in-house by Mahindra and has been carried out at the Mahindra Research Valley (MRV) in Chennai. Also Checkout: Watch Mahindra NuvoSport India Launch Live Streaming 

Platform: The sub-compact SUV is underpinned by a new generation platform which also serves as the base for the new generation Mahindra Scorpio.

Transmission: Power is sent to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox. AMT transmission will be made available as an optional extra.

Variants: The NuvoSport is expected to be offered in six variants that includes N4, N4+, N6, N6 AMT, N8 and N8 AMT

Price: Mahindra is expected to price the newest entrant in the sub-compact segment at a starting price of INR 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Safety: The SUV is expected to get a driver side airbag as standard across all variants while passenger airbag and ABS with EBD will be available as an option starting from the base variant.

Features: The vehicle gets 8-way adjustable driver seat with lumber support, touch-screen infotainment system, dual airbags and cruise control.

Positioning: The Mahindra NuvoSport will be positioned between the TUV300 sub-compact SUV and the KUV100.

Competition: The NuvoSport will rival against the other sub-compact SUVs in the market like the Maruti Vitara Brezza and the Ford EcoSport.
