Based on the Xylo, the sub-4 meter Mahindra Quanto was launched in India a few months ago and has received a good response from the market. And since South Africa has almost all of the Mahindra UVs on sale, the Indian manufacturer has reportedly decided to send Quanto to SA's showrooms.
The Quanto is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine, which produces around 100PS of power and 240Nm of torque. It isn't pleasing to drive and the above mentioned engine is the only saving grace. Mahindra has showcased with the Quanto, how efficiently the platform technology can be used and believe us, the Quanto is a good product, all it needs is better dynamics.
According to the report, the Quanto is expected to hit the streets of South Africa in the first half of 2013.
