Mahindra to launch Special Edition Scorpio soon

The carmaker shares its teaser image on Facebook.

Mahindra Scorpio is back in news these days. After managing to do better sales than Renault Duster in July, the SUV is ready to capture hearts of a few more prospective customers with the launch of a special edition variant.

According to IndianAutosBlog, Mahindra has shared a teaser image (posted above) which has a veiled Scorpio with 'Scorpio Special Edition' written next to it, along with 'Coming Soon!', which suggests that Mahindra is readying the SUV for the festive season. The report also says that the chrome alloys, black scuff plate and checkered flag graphics remind of the limited edition Scorpio launched way back in the year 2010, since that too had the same features.

The special edition, limited to a thousand units, variant from 2010 got some updates on the inside like the roof-mounted entertainment system and leather interiors with 'Special Edition' badging on the outside competing the whole package. But more information about this year's version is yet to surface. So if you cannot wait for the Scorpio facelift, due in late 2014, this version of the SUV is worth checking out.
