And it’s finally here! After Scoops, speculations and delays, Mahindra’s long-awaited XUV500, that we knew till recently by its code name W201 breaks cover later this month on September 28. With the name XUV500 (pronounced 'ex-you-vee-five-double-oh') Mahindra will showcase its flagship model on the global scale. The XUV500 will be pitted against the segment leader Toyota Fortuner, followed by Chevrolet Captiva and the new entrant Tata Aria. The SUV will also take on the Tata Safari Merlin when it launches. It will also come loaded with features to battle the competition.

Deliveries of the XUV 500 are expected to begin in October in time for Diwali. We expect it to be priced between Rs 12-16 lakh bracket.The 7-seater SUV will feature up to six airbags across its variants and will incorporate other safety features like all four disc brakes with ABS and EBD, 4×4, etc.
