Mahindra has officially launched its sub-4 meter notchback called the Verito Vibe at a starting price of Rs 5.63 lakh for the base D2 variant. The higher D4 and D6 trims have been priced at Rs 5.89 lakh and Rs 6.49 lakh respectively. All prices ex-showroom, Mumbai. Based on the Verito, the new Verito Vibe slots in under the 4-meter mark just like the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire and the recently launched Honda Amaze. By doing so, Mahindra saves a substantial chunk in excise duties, which in turn helps keep the prices competitive.
The Verito Vibe is offered with only one engine option for now – a Renault-derived 1.5-litre dCi diesel engine that also powers the regular Verito. With 65PS of power and 160Nm of torque, the Verito Vibe promises to offer decent performance, if not class leading.
The Verito Vibe is available in three trim levels: D2, D4 and the D6, with the latter featuring ABS, Driver airbag, alloy wheels, audio system with USB and electric mirrors as standard. The car gets an ARAI claimed fuel efficiency figure of 20.8 kmpl with fuel tank capacity rated at 50 litres.
The Verito Vibe boasts of a 172mm ground clearance and will offer the same, plush ride quality of its sedan sibling. Mahindra is offering the Verito Vibe with a choice of 7 colour options: Fiery Black, Java Brown, Mist Silver, Toreador Red, Dolphin Grey, Diamond White and Aqua Rush. Additionally, the company is offering a 3 Year/1 Lakh km warranty on the car.
