Maruti Suzuki has yet again released a teaser image of the upcoming Concept Future S mini SUV ahead of the Auto Expo 2018. The company has partially revealed the front design of the Maruti Suzuki Concept Future S via the new teaser image. The Future S Concept will be officially displayed at the 2018 Auto Expo and is expected to go on sale by end of 2018 or early 2019. The teaser image shows the LED headlight and front grille design of the Maruti Concept Future S. Earlier this month; Maruti Suzuki had showcased the side profile silhouette of the Concept Future S. According to Maruti Suzuki, the new design language is a design direction from the company for its upcoming compact cars. The Concept Future S is completely designed in-house by the Maruti Suzuki Design team. The Maruti Suzuki Concept Future S is a mini SUV from Indo-Japanese carmaker that will be positioned below the Maruti Vitara Brezza and is expected to be over 200 mm shorter than the sub-compact SUV. The production version of the Concept Future S is reportedly codenamed Maruti Y1K and will rival the Renault KWID. The new Maruti Concept Future S mini SUV is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre K-series VVT engine and will come mated to 5-speed manual and AMT transmission. Some media reports also suggest that the car will get the upcoming 1.5-litre diesel engine. However, we doubt Maruti Suzuki will equip its mini SUV with a diesel motor citing cost issues.
