Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 Anniversary Edition launched in India at Rs 3.12 lakh

There seems to be no stopping for Maruti Suzuki and its long string of special edition models. Just earlier this week, the Indian automaker launched a new special edition model of its Alto K10, called the Musik Edition and over the weekend, the carmaker has rolled out a new Anniversary Edition of its hugely popular, Alto 800. To state the obvious, the Special Edition marks the first birthday of the Alto 800 hatchback.

Priced at Rs 3.12 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), the Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 Anniversary Edition packs in a new set of body graphics, new body colour (Purple Haze), new seat upholstery, blacked out B-Pillar, body side molding, rear parcel tray, body colored side mirror and a new audio system (optional).

The Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 was originally launched in India last October at a starting price of Rs 2. 44 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). As expected the model soon started breaking all known sales record for the Indian automaker, cashing in from those first time buyers who were looking to upgrade from two-wheelers to a cheap and cheerful small car. And even after being in the market for a year, the Alto 800 is still ringing the cash register bell loud for the company.
