Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest automobile manufacturer announced that with immediate effect, the automaker is going to increase the prices of its entire product portfolio in India. The price hike on Maruti Suzuki cars in India will be in the range of INR 1500 to 8,014 (ex-showroom). As said by the Maruti, the price hike will be in effect from 27th January 2017 and has been done due to increase in commodity, transportation and administrative costs. Last year, a number of automaker in India have announced a price hike across their respective product portfolio starting from January 2017. Currently, Maruti Suzuki sells a wide array of vehicle in India, the range of which starts from the entry level hatchback the Alto 800, price at INR 2.45 lakh and goes to the flagship crossover S-Cross, price at INR 12.03 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The price is to affect Maruti’s current recent and high selling products like the Baleno and Vitara Brezza. The Baleno and Vitara Brezza have emerged as the one of the biggest hits. Both of these vehicles have been continuously featuring, month after month in the list of top 10 best-selling list.
This year itself, Maruti Suzuki has couple more exciting launched lined up for India. these include the likes of the Baleno RS, Next-gen Swift Dzire, Next-gen Swift and the petrol derivative of the Vitara Brezza compact SUV.
