Maruti Suzuki India Limited is launching the much awaited hot hatch Baleno RS in India today as it heats up the competition in the premium and powerful hatchback segment and also increases the competition under INR 10 lakh price bracket. It is expected to be priced at around INR 8 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The Maruti Baleno RS is the fastest Maruti Suzuki hatchback ever and is a huge development over the earlier Maruti Suzuki vehicles that used to rounds of the Indian roads. The Baleno RS is powered by a 1.0 litre, 3 cylinder, turbocharged Boosterjet engine which displaces 998 cc and produces 101 bhp of power 150 Nm of torque.The Transmission responsibilities are to be handled by a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Baleno RS: Interiors

The interiors of the Baleno RS are expected to be in an all-black theme with metal finish internal door handle, with contrast stitching and RS badge on seats and leather wrapped steering wheel. The rich interiors are going to be loaded with features because it is going to be a trim on the Alpha variant. So the extensive features comprise of auto climate control, cruise control, auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers, Bluetooth connectivity, 7-inch touch screen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Baleno RS: Ground Clearance and Dimensions

The ground clearance of Baleno RS is 170 mm while the length is 3,995 mm, width is 1,745 mm, height is 1,510 mm and the wheelbase of 2520 mm allows for a comfortable seating space in the sporty hatchback.

Baleno RS: Exteriors

The exterior profile is almost similar to the standard Baleno but some sporty touches to the car lend it an upmarket and aggressive look. For example the front and rear bumper sport aggressive touches, while the side skirts with black 16 inch alloy wheels lend it a low slung character. The RS badge on the bootlid helps separate this from the regular Baleno models.
