Maruti Suzuki seems to be working on a new version of the popular Maruti Celerio hatchback. Team-BHP has released a new spy image of what looks like a Maruti Suzuki Celerio Crossover. The Celerio Crossover was spied during a promotional TV commercial shoot in India. Sadly though, only a part of the rear profile of the car is visible in the new spy shot. That said, the Celerio Crossover is expected to launch soon in India, probably by year end. While only the rear portion of the new Maruti Suzuki Celerio Crossover is visible, a few details of the car have been revealed. The car gets a bright orange paint scheme, matte black cladding on the rear bumper and wheel arches, bumper integrated reflectors, silver scuff plates and blacked out alloy wheels. That said, we are uncertain whether the Celerio Crossover gets higher ground clearance. We will get more details on the car, as and when Maruti Suzuki reveals the Celerio Crossover in the country. As of now, there are no details on the power-train options on the new Maruti Suzuki Celerio Crossover. That said, Maruti Suzuki is expected to employ the same 998 cc petrol engine on the Celerio Cross. The 3-cylinder petrol unit produces 67 BHP of power and 90 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual manual transmission along with an optional 5-speed AMT gearbox. With all that said, Maruti Suzuki is yet to provide an official word on the Celerio Crossover variant.
