Maruti Suzuki India has officially announced the moving of its popular sedan Maruti Ciaz to Nexa dealerships from April 1, 2017. The Maruti Ciaz has been one of the most popular offering in Maruti s lineup with more than 1.5 lakh units under its belt since its launch. With elegantly designed exterior looks and premium interiors, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is the segment leader in the mid-size sedan space with 22 percent growth in Feb-April 2016 – 2017 period. Moreover, Nexa-bound Ciaz has been spotted couple of time in the past revealing the essential details about the sedan. Also, variant wise details were too leaked online ahead of its moving to Nexa outlets. Giving it a Nexa push, the overall design of the sedan remains the same with mechanical front remaining untouched. The Indo-Japanese car maker has introduced all-new colour tone – ‘Nexa Blue’ to the sedan that further enhances the overall appeal. Going by the variant-wise details leaked online, it is believed that the sedan will be offered in 5 trim levels of which 4 will be regular Nexa variants – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha while the other one will be all-new S (Sport) variant. Having said that the mechanical front will remain untouched, it will continue to sport the same set of engine options as seen on the current model. The petrol variant will be seen carrying a 1.4-litre petrol while the diesel unit will be equipped with a 1.3-litre diesel engine. The transmission duties will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard while the petrol trim will also be mated to a 4-speed AT unit. Maruti Suzuki India kicked off the year on the positive note by launching Ignis followed by Baleno RS. And now Ciaz and Maruti have come together for proffer a powerful combination for delighting the customers with this extraordinary buying experience. Keeping the prices intact, the sedan continues its rivalry in the segment by competing against the likes of Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento, Fiat Linea and others.
