Maruti Suzuki is on a roll as it launches car after car which are selling like hot cakes and the most recent entrant in that category is the Maruti Suzuki Ignis. Maruti Suzuki has been receiving e-bookings for the Ignis and interestingly the company had expected to receive about 57 per cent of bookings from the digital platform. This comes in the wake of increasing movement towards the digitization of payment methods. To meet the increasing sales, the company is producing around 4,500 to 5,000 units in the Gurgaon plant.

The company has been finding it a wee bit difficult to cope with the demand as the Vitara Brezza and Baleno hatchback which were launched in the last couple of years are also running in to a long waiting period of around 3 to 9 months. Maruti Suzuki is working on increasing the production of the Ignis in their plants which include the Manesar and the newly inaugurated Gujarat plant.

Maruti Suzuki Ignis is the third car to be sold through the premium Nexa dealerships and is available at a starting price of INR 4.59 lakh and goes all the way to INR 7.80 lakh for the top spec Alpha trim with a diesel engine. The Ignis competes against the likes of Mahindra KUV 100 and Hyundai Grand i10.
