Maruti Suzuki has revealed that the company will make the India premiere of its first ever Concept EV, the Suzuki e-Survivor and will also display a working model of its next-generation Suzyku Hybrid System (HEV) at the 2018 Auto Expo. The Suzuki e-Survivor concept was first showcased at the Tokyo Motor Show 2017. The e-Survivor Concept EV is a design study model that will power future compact SUVs and pays tribute to Suzuki’s 4WD heritage. The Maruti Suzuki e-Survivor will be showcased at the Auto Expo 2018 to display Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to develop electric vehicles in India. This will include manufacturing components for EVs, recycling of batteries and charging infrastructure among others. Next-Geberation Suzuki Hybrid Syztem (HEV)
Maruti Suzuki will also be showcasing a working model of its next-gen Suzuki Hybrid system (HEV). The Suzuki Hybrid system currently is offered on the Suzuki Swift and the Suzuki Solio that manufactured and sold in Japan. The Suzuki hybrid system is high on efficiency and low on emissions. While the current hybrid system can also work on pure electric drive, this next-generation hybrid system will also offer superior acceleration and driving performance. Maruti Suzuki is working on developing a range of xEV technologies to electrify its power-trains in India. The Suzuki Hybrid systems are aimed at substantially reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
