Ford EcoSport had everyone beaten by its pricing when it was launched in 2013 but currently it retails for INR 6.93 lakh to INR 9.82 lakh for the top titanium trim. The signature edition is priced at INR 9.26 lakh.

The Vitara Brezza is priced at INR 7.19 lakh for its base variant and goes on till INR 9.88 lakh for its top end trim.

Mahindra TUV 300 is sold for a price of INR 7.38 lakh for base to INR 9.73 lakh for the top end variant. (All the prices are ex-showroom Delhi)

The Ford EcoSport Signature Edition is very stylish sub-compact SUV that comes with all black styling on the exteriors as well as interiors. The SUV features a massive front grille, sleek headlamps, bulging wheel arches and a strong shoulder line on the side while the rear features an oak door boot-lid that houses the spare wheel and rear tail lights. The car gets several blacked out features around the exterior edges.

The Ford EcoSport Signature Edition sports an all black interior scheme and comes loaded with features like multi-media infotainment system, automatic climate control, steering mounted controls, start-stop button etc. The EcoSport comes equipped with class-leading 6-airbags, ABS and rear-parking sensors.

The Vitara Brezza features steering mounted audio controls, automatic climate control, automatic headlamps, SmartPlay infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, navigation system and cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, push-button start-stop and key-less entry. On the safety front, the Brezza comes equipped with dual-front airbags, ABS and EBD as standard.

The Mahindra TUV300 comes with a touch-screen multi-functional display, follow-me home headlamps, steering mounted audio controls, rear defogger, key-less entry and two 12V charging points while on the safety front it gets dual-front airbags, ABS and EBD as standard.

The Ford EcoSport is available in two and one diesel engine options. The petrol variant is powered by a 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine that is capable of producing 123 BHP of maximum power and 170 Nm of peak torque while the 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine is capable of churning out 110 BHP of maximum power along with 140 Nm of peak torque. The oil burner is powered by a 1.5-litre TDCI engine that pumps out 99 BHP of maximum power while developing 205 Nm of peak torque. All the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox while the 1.5-litre petrol variant gets an automatic gearbox as well.

The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is powered by a 1.3-litre four cylinder, DDiS, MultiJet diesel engine that is capable of pumping out 89 BHP of maximum power along with 200 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are carried out by a 5-speed manual gearbox. Maruti Suzuki has plans to introduce a powerful 1.0-litre BoosterJet petrol engine along with an automatic transmission in the future.

The Mahindra TUV300 is powered by a 1.5 litre mHawk diesel engine that is available in two states of tunes. The mHawk80 produces 84 BHP of maximum power and 230Nm of peak torque while the mHawk100 pumps out 100 BHP of power along with 240 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox while a 5-speed AMT transmission is also available as an option.
