Mercedes Benz showcases GLA Concept on video

The GLA Concept will make its public debut at the Shanghai Motor Show. 

After showing the design sketch of the compact crossover GLA, Mercedes Benz has now released a video of the same. Based on the new generation compact cars platform, the GLA will sit below the GLK in the German carmaker's line-up. It shares its platform with other compact Mercs like the A and B-Class and the recently unveiled CLA. 

The production ready concept will be shown at the Shanghai Motor Show, while the crossover is expected to be ready to reach the showroom floors sometime during late 2013 or early next year. GLA will be priced close the B-Class, competing straight with other crossovers like the BMW X1 and Audi Q3. 

It will be available in both petrol and diesel options and we expect Mercedes Benz India to bring the car to the country as it can give strong competition to the other players in the market.
