Mercedes S63 AMG coupe caught testing for the first time

The S63 AMG coupe could feature the same 5.5-litre bi-turbo V8 engine found in the S63 AMG sedan. 

Following several spy shots of the regular S-Class coupe that are all over the internet, the more powerful S63 AMG coupe has also been caught testing, suggesting that Mercedes will also bring out a high-performance model in typical AMG guise.

The S-Class coupe concept shown recently at the Frankfurt Motor Show previews the production model which is due next year. Now that the S63 AMG coupe has been spotted out in the wild, Mercedes is likely to add this more powerful AMG version to the range.

If put into production, the S63 AMG could make use of the same 5.5-litre bi-turbo V8 engine that powers the 2014 S63 AMG. Producing 585PS of power and 900Nm of torque, the V8 is mated to a super quick 7-speed SPEEDSHIFT automatic gearbox.
