Mustang-based 624PS Shelby GT the new ultimate muscle car?

The GT/SC version is capable of hitting 100kmph from standstill in just 3.7 seconds.

It’s based on the 2014 Ford Mustang GT and it packs in no less than 624 horsepower in the ultimate GT/SC version.  It’s called the Shelby GT and it’s the latest in line of custom-made, high performance creations based on the standard Mustang GT.

The Shelby GT introduced by Shelby American at the LA Auto Show adds more power to the standard Mustang GT range. While the base model puts out 430 PS of power, the optional Shelby GT/SC supercharged model comes in either a 525PS or a staggering 624PS version, making it the most potent version of the car ever made.

Entry-level package upgrades include a Ford Racing suspension, Shelby branded exhaust, intake and engine tune for 430PS, specially designed wheels and tires and a short shifter. The GT/SC version boasts of a supercharger tuned to produce up to 624PS of power.

The GT/SC version is said to blast from 0-100kmph in about 3.7 seconds, and run the quarter mile in the mid 11 second range.
