Ford, a popular American car maker recently unveiled the new Freestyle Compact Utility Vehicle in the domestic market which is expected to launch in the market by Q2, 2018. The car maker is also planning to launch the new updated versions of Figo hatchback and Aspire sedan soon. We previously reported that Ford India has started testing the new Aspire 2018 sedan on the Indian roads. The exterior front of the new 2018 Aspire facelift will get revised grille, new projector headlamps with LED DRLs, redesigned front bumper, new alloy wheels, new tail lights, and much more. In terms of dimension, the new Ford Aspire will measure 3995mm, width of 1695mm and height of 1525mm along with wheelbase of 2491mm and ground clearance 174mm. The updation on the new Aspire is expected to continue on the inside as well, wherein the sedan could sport new SYNC3 touchscreen infotainment system, revamped centre console, new features and equipments. Under the hood, the new Ford Aspire will be offered with a choice of petrol and diesel – 2 petrol & 1 diesel. The petrol units are likely to be a 1.2-litre Dragon and 1.5-litre Ti-VCT which can produce 94 bhp/115Nm and 110/136Nm of power figures. The diesel version will be a 1.5-litre TDCi unit which will make 99 bhp of max power along with 215Nm of peak torque. In terms of pricing, the 2018 version of Aspire is likely to be pricier than the outgoing considering the fact that it will be loaded with new features and equipments. We speculate that the sedan will carry a price tag in the range of INR 5.5 lakh to 8.5 lakh (ex-showroom). When launched in the Indian car market, the new Aspire will take on the rivals such as Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent, Volkswagen Ameo and others in the sub-compact sedan space.
