Honda Cars India will be revealing the all-new Honda Amaze 2018 compact sedan at the 14th edition of biennial motor show in Delhi next month. Ever since its launch in the domestic market in 2013, the company will be showcasing the latest avatar of the sedan for the very first time. The Japanese car maker rolled out the facelifted version in the Indian market in 2016 which showed decent volumes. However, the new generation 2018 Amaze will be more appealing and stylish as it will be pitted against segment leader Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Xcent and Ford Aspire. The main highlight of the new Amaze 2018 will be the exterior front which will be inspired from Honda City. As the demand being shifted to compact SUVs and Crossovers, the Japanese car maker is looking to bet big on the new Amaze compact sedan by bringing up the luxury quotient. Moreover, Honda Amaze was the first compact sedan to be offered in diesel iteration when it was initially introduced. The new generation Honda Amaze will be loaded with hi-tech features such as touch screen infotainment system, restyled interior, enhanced safety features and much more.

As far as the engine specs go, the new Honda Amaze 2018 will retain the same 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine options. The petrol unit is capable of making 88.7 bhp of max power with peak torque of 109Nm whereas the diesel unit makes 98.5 bhp with peak torque of 200Nm. Expected to launch in the domestic market after its debut at Auto Expo 2018, the next-gen Honda Amaze is expected to be slightly premium than the current model. The current model is priced in the range of INR 5.5 lakh to INR 8.41 lakh (ex-showroom). We speculate that the new Amaze will be priced in the range of INR 5.5 lakh to INR 9 lakh (ex-showroom).
