The New Honda City, with all its added features and visual modifications have seem to have picked up a right start for Honda in the Indian car market. Since its launch in February this year, the latest iteration of this C-segment sedan has managed to garner over 25,000 bookings. More than 5,000 units of the new Honda City were sold in India for the month of April 2017, making it the best seller for Honda Car India.

The new age Honda City came with subtel design tweaks on the outside, these comprised on a completely restyled front end. This included new LED headlamps, LED DRLS, LED fog-lamps; the side profile remains the same with the with the rear end getting minor updates in the form of LED tail-lamps and a restyled bumper.

Inside the cabin, the new Honda City 2017 comes with a new touchscreen infotainment system, called the Digipad by Honda. This android based system offers connectivity to our smartphone through multiple sources. Not only this, the screen also doubles up for GPS as well as the reverse parking camera. Other than these minor revisions, the new Honda City remains similar to the previous gen model. The engine specifications are too exactly the same as before. The petrol derivative gets the same 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine while the diesel derivative gets the same 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine.

The transmission responsibilities are taken care of by a 5-speed manual gearbox for the petrol derivative, while the diesel one gets a 6-speed manual transmission. The automatic gearbox is taken care of by a 7-speed CVT unit.

Talking about prices, the base variant of the Honda City retails at INR 8,49,990 lakh, with the top of the line version costing INR 13,56,990 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
