Hyundai, a popular South Korean automaker has showcased the new generation Hyundai Santa Fe SUV at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show 2018. Officially unveiled on February 6, the SUV is already on sale in the Korean market which was rolled out by the end of last month. The fourth generation Santa Fe 2018 is based on the new design language for the SUVs which also forms basis for Hyundai Kona that was introduced last year. The exterior design of the new Santa Fe 2018 is accentuated by a bigger cascading grille upfront flanked by twin headlamp cluster on the top of the LED headlight panel along with LED DRLs. It also comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler, LED rear combination lamps and much more. On the dimension front, the new 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV gets length of 4770mm, width of 1890mm and height of 1680mm. Moreover, the wheelbase and ground clearance of the SUV stands at 2765mm and 185mm respectively. On the inside, Hyundai will be loaded with features such as 7-inch virtual instrument cluster, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, colour HUD, Sound Hound music search, wireless charging and Krell sound system. The SUV will be equipped with safety features such as 6-airbags and a 360-degree surround-view camera, new active safety, Safety Exit Assist (SEA), Rear Occupant Alert (ROA) and other driver assistance technologies. On the mechanical front, the new 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe with be available in the range of engine options which includes 2 petrol and 3 diesel engines – 2.0L T-GDI petrol, 2.4L GDI petrol, 2.0L diesel, 2.2L CRDi diesel and powerful 2.0L diesel. The engines will be mated to a 6-speed manual and 8-speed automatic are the transmission choices whereas HTRAC AWD system could be on offer as an option. As far as the launch of the SUV is concerned, there is no official confirmation regarding the same. However, the SUV is expected to hit the European market later this year.
