Maruti Suzuki launched the new Dzire 2017 with a whole range of changes to its appearances to make the vehicle look even more lucrative and upmarket. This led to a long waiting period for the new Dzire which is now expected to get even longer if a report by Teambhp is to be believed. The steering assembly of the newly manufactured Dzire models is being changed. It has been reported that Maruti Suzuki has put the deliveries of new models of the compact sedan Dzire on hold for the time being. It is not known whether the faulty steering assembly is present in a certain batch or all of the units manufactured till now. An official announcement regarding this issue is still awaited.
According to several other news reports, Maruti Suzuki is sending the new steering assembly to the dealerships where the compact sedans are already stocked. In addition to this, they are currently believed to be fitting the new steering assembly unit into the vehicles that are existing in their plant. As a result the delivery of this model can now only be done once this required change has been carried out.
Even the company honchos informed on the day of launch that the New Maruti Dzire will be commanding a waiting period of 8 to 10 weeks, depending upon the variant. Maruti has packed in loads of practicality factor in the new Dzire as the new model is available with AMT transmission options from the second variant itself, in both the petrol and diesel derivatives. We had also reported earlier that, the compact sedan which has now got a rejigged name as well (Dzire instead of Swift Dzire) has racked almost 33000 bookings even before its launch. With this, it looks poised to become the next most sought after vehicle from Maruti stable after the brilliant success enjoyed by the Baleno hatchback, Vitara Brezza compact SUV and the urban compact crossover, Ignis which was launched this year. The prices for the Maruti Suzuki Dzire 2017 start from INR 5.45 lakh for the starting Lxi and goes on till INR 9.41 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the top of the line ZDI Plus AMT model. The new Dzire will still be available with a choice of 1.2-litre petrol VVT and 1.3-litre DDiS engine on offer.
