The steering assembly of the newly manufactured Dzire models is being changed. It has been reported that Maruti Suzuki has put the deliveries of new models of the compact sedan Dzire on hold for the time being. It is not known whether the faulty steering assembly is present in a certain batch or all of the units manufactured till now. An official announcement regarding this issue is still awaited.

According to several other news reports, Maruti Suzuki is sending the new steering assembly to the dealerships where the compact sedans are already stocked. In addition to this, they are currently believed to be fitting the new steering assembly unit into the vehicles that are existing in their plant. As a result the delivery of this model can now only be done once this required change has been carried out.

Even the company honchos informed on the day of launch that the New Maruti Dzire will be commanding a waiting period of 8 to 10 weeks, depending upon the variant. Maruti has packed in loads of practicality factor in the new Dzire as the new model is available with AMT transmission options from the second variant itself, in both the petrol and diesel derivatives.
