The Maruti Suzuki Celerio has been quite a successful product for the Indo-Japanese automaker in India. There are no concrete details regarding what all new revisions will be done to the new Maruti Suzuki Celerio 2017, but it can be safety assumed that the hatchback will get a revamped front facia along with minor revisions done to the rear profile of the car as well. The cabin could retain the current model’s basic design layout but there could be a jump in terms of its on-board creature comforts and features. One thing which for sure is going to make its way to the new Maruti Suzuki Celerio are the provision of dual-airbags along with ABS as standard across the range; in-tune with the new safety regulations which are to come into play soon. As far as the engine specifications of the new Maruti Suzuki Celerio are concerned, they will remain the same as before. The hatchback will continue to be powered by the same 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine which puts out 67Bhp along with 91Nm of peak torque. Paired to this engine will be a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. Also on offer will be a 5-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission). Other mechanical will remain the same as before as well. The Celerio will also be available to choose fitted with a CNG kit, from Maruti itself. The new Maruti Suzuki Celerio will continue to be sold through the automaker’s regular dealerships. The prices are expected to fall in the range of INR 4.5 lakh to 5.8 lakh. The new Celerio is likely to cost upto INR 20,000 to INR 30,000 expensive that the model which it is going to replace. It will continue to compete with the likes of Tata Tiago, Renault KWID 1.0-litre and the Hyundai Grand i10.
