The carmaker currently sells both the petrol and diesel versions of its hatchback Micra in India and may launch another compact car on the K2 platform that also forms the starting point for the first generation Micra internationally. in the price range of Rs 3 -4 lakh. We can also expect a car in the even lower price bracket of Rs 2-3 lakh, designed by Hinduja Group’ s engineering arm Defiance. Nissan is also in talks with Bajaj Auto and if the deal materialises, the company plans to launch three to four compact cars over the next five years.
