Nissan sales up 98 per cent in May
The Sunny diesel sedan supports Nissan numbers, as Micra sales fall considerably.

Nissan registered 98 per cent increase in it sales in May 12, in relation to units sold in same month last year. The company sold 3128 units last month, almost double of 1,588 units in May11. The main reason for this increase is the Sunny sedan, which has been doing quite well for the company in these testing times.
Nissan managed to sell 2,578 units of Sunny last month – and as expected most of them were diesel variants. This model was not available in last May and hence the big spike. The overall numbers for Nissan have also evidently taken a hit in May, as the Micra sales are drastically down in spite of a very economical diesel mill on offer. Nissan sold just 540 units of the hatchback last month, as against 1435 units in April 12.
