Nissan has released a quick teaser of the Hi-Cross concept, by way of an image and a video that forms the concept’s silhouette. The concept will be revealed in flesh at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show which gets underway next week.
While the Hi-Cross concept aims to visualise a high-riding hatchback, it ends up giving us a glimpse of what could be the next generation Nissan X-Trail. While no oily bits have been revealed at this stage, the new X-Trail will be based on an updated Nissan C-platform – the same one that underpins the recently launched Renault Koleos.
Currently the Nissan X-Trail is imported from Japan in CBU form but we won’t be surprised if Nissan decided to build the new X-Trail and the Koleos at their Chennai plant if there is enough demand for the two vehicles.
We’ll have to wait until the Geneva Motor Show gets underway to see what future lies for the Hi-Cross concept that you see in the teaser image here.
