Porsche Panamera S Hybrid drives in
The German carmker has unveiled the most economical Porsche yet in the form of the Panamera S Hybrid

Like it or not, but the ugly Porsche Panamera is a hot seller for the German carmaker and now, it will also bear the tag of being the most economical Porsche in their entire line-up. Enter the Porsche Panamera S Hybrid. The new model claims to consume only 6.8-litres of petrol per 100 kilometers, thus returning an impressive fuel efficiency of 14 kmpl and CO2 emissions of 159 g/km. This model is complemented by Michelin’s all-season low resistance tyres to aid efficiency further. Porsche has assured its fans though that in spite of its green operations the Panamera S Hybrid doesn’t sacrifice on its sportiness and elegance and puts out a healthy power figure of 380 PS. The four-door coupe can accelerate from naught to 100 km/h in six seconds and achieve a top speed of 270 km/h.

The Panamera’s hybrid setup comes from the unit that propels the Cayenne S Hybrid. The petrol engine is a 3.0 litre V6 putting out 333 PS of power, while the electric motor is rated at 47 PS. Both these units can operate in both, individual as well as combination modes. The electric-only mode allows a 2 km range and can propel the car to 85 km/h. With the S Hybrid, the Panamera line-up is now six variant strong. If owning a green Porsche that boasts of figures that can shame a Honda Accord is good enough to boost your ego, then expect Porsche to bring in this GT by the end of this year.
