Porsche India has teamed up with Women Beyond Boundaries (WBB), an organization which runs extreme overland journey across the country for empowering women through mobility. The workers in the organization majorly consist of women from different backgrounds who traverse difficult terrains to showcase diverse mobility solutions used by women. The current expedition will be a 20 day journey across the tricky mountain terrains of the Himalayas. Women Beyond Boundaries founder Nidhi Tiwari along with her navigator Neha V. Sadananda will embark on this 4000km journey on June 18. Highlighting the cause Nidhi Tiwari said: “With the spirit of women empowerment, and a sensitive cause of women's health and cancer awareness in the remotest corners of the country, we believe in going beyond all perceived and conventional boundaries”. Their ride, a Porsche Cayenne diesel, is provided to them by the German manufacturer in a bid to support WBB’s cause.  It is the perfect vehicle for treading through the treacherous landscape of the Himalayas. The voyage will start from Porsche’s Gurugram Centre with its final destination being set in Ladakh. Along the way, these brave women will encounter various high-altitude passes that adorn the hills which also include the Marsimik La and Khardunga La passes; two of the highest motoring roads in the world. With the support of local authorities, WBB will interact with native communities and educate women on various health issues as well.
