Renault Captur Launching Today in India ; Watch Live Streaming and Online Telecast of Captur 2017

The Renault Captur will compete against the Hyundai Creta.

French car manufacturer, Renault is all set to launch the much awaited Renault Captur crossover SUV today in India. The crossover has already been unveiled in India and today, the company will reveal the prices of Captur in India. Ahead of its launch, the Captur has already started reaching Renault dealerships across India. That said, Renault India has started accepting bookings for the Captur in the country and the car can be booked at an amount of INR 25,000. Being a premium offering, the Captur will be positioned above the Renault Duster and will get a top-end ‘Platine’ variant. The Renault Captur is based on the modular M0 platform, and shares its underpinnings with the Duster. The European-spec Captur is vastly different from the Indian model, as the former is based on the lightweight and more advanced Renault Clio platform. That said, the Renault Captur measures at 4,329 mm in length, 1,813 mm in width and 1,619 mm in height. The car carries a long wheelbase of 2,673 mm while it gets a class leading ground clearance of 210 mm. The Captur gets a boot space capacity of 392 litres, which can be expanded to 1,352 litres by folding the rear seats. The Renault Captur will be available in a choice of two engine options. The petrol variant gets a 1.5-litre H4K unit that produces 103 BHP of maximum power at 5,600 RPM while developing a peak torque of 142 Nm at 4,000 RPM. The diesel unit, on the other hand, is powered by a 1.5-litre K9K dCi mill that is capable of churning out 108 BHP of maximum power at 4,000 RPM along with a peak torque of 240 Nm at 1,750 rpm. While the petrol unit comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, the diesel mill comes paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Being a flagship offering, the Renault Captur will come equipped with premium features like full-LED headlamps with floating side indicators, LED daytime running lights, ripple LED tail lamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and voice recognition, Infinity instrument cluster and a 6-speaker Arkamys sound system. Renault India will also be offering a range of personalisation options on the Captur, which includes roof decals, body graphics and ORVM covers. The Renault Captur will compete against the Hyundai Creta and is expected to be priced between INR 10 lakh to INR 15 lakh (ex-showroom). Watch the LIVE Streaming here.
