Renault launched the diesel version of the Pulse at the 2012 Auto Expo, where they also confirmed that the petrol version will be launched later in the year. The Renault Pulse is rebadged Nissan Mirca, with redesigned bumpers and few other minor tweaks for some differentiation. It was hence not a task for Renault to launch the petrol version, which is also manufactured at the Oragadam facility in Chennai.
Renault has now silently launched the petrol version of their hatchback, Pulse, for a starting prices of Rs 4.25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which is marginally higher than its cousin, the Micra. The petrol version comes in three trims and is powered by 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol that produces 79PS and 104Nm of torque. The top-end RXZ variant is priced at Rs 5.55 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and is equipped with features like climate control, auto-retractable wing mirrors, dual airbags and ABS with EBD; it is available in six colour shades and also offers two options for the interior shades.
