Scoop: 2013 Maruti Suzuki SX4 caught

Caught without any cladding, the car looks ready for launch

It's true that SX4 has never been a strong product in Maruti Suzuki's product portfolio. While it's a decent product but with competitors proving to be better than this Maruti, the sales figures never reached great heights. 

So to overcome this slack in sales, Maruti has decided to give the car a facelift! Earlier the car was caught with some camouflage (applied by probably a very uninterested person), someone at the popular automotive forum Team BHP has caught the car again, but without any claddings at all. 

While the technicals should remain same, this facelift version of the SX4 gets a redesigned front end. The noticeable changes include a chrome grille and redesigned bumper. If Maruti plans to bring the car they showcased in China, then new headlamps and new rear view mirror casings too would make it to the car. The rear, as caught in earlier spy shots, is expected to remain similar. New design tail lamps would make it look less boring though. 

So, would a mère change in the design bring in new customers or will this car go the Baleno way? Both were good products in their respective times but never saw huge love from the market. We hope things work out for the SX4. Since the car was caught without any disguise, expecting Maruti to launch it soon won't be wrong.
