Scoop! Two-tone Tata Indigo Manza in the works

Tata seems to be working on another limited edition of the Manza with a two-tone paint scheme and some additional features.

Tata has a knack of churning out limited editions of its popular cars like the Vista and the Manza to attract customers every now and then. Of course, there is the constant push to break these vehicles free from the cabbie image that most Tata cars have been beset with over time – and that is one of the primary reasons why the ‘Indica’ and the ‘Indigo’ emblems on the Vista and the Manza are shrinking rapidly with every new variant or refresh that comes out.

Speaking of which, it seems that Tata is working on yet another upgrade / limited edition variant of their flagship sedan, the Indigo Manza. As can be seen in these spy shots, the Manza test mule has a new shade, the brick orange, which is said to be much similar to the metallic orange that was available on the first generation Swift. Our reader, Akshay Dange who caught this car on test last week, tells us that the colour looks brighter than what can be seen in the photos. The Manza seen here dons a two-tone scheme with a black roof and a black recess for the registration plate. Akshay says that the recess also had a circular indentation on the left hand side and that it looked like an unusually placed reversing camera. We’ll have to wait and watch what that indentation actually is, since we do not see any parking sensors on the car either. 

Akshay also tells us that the Manza test mule had leather (or artificial leather) upholstery. The top-of-the-line Manza Elan that was launched last year had its seats clad in fabric upholstery, therefore the inclusion of art-leather could point towards a new top end model or a limited edition one with the possibility of additional luxury elements and creature comforts. The test mule was also running the same alloys that you see on the Manza Elan or the Vista 90 HP. Since there is absolutely no badging on the test mule, we could also have another variant name cropping up like the Ignis and the Elan that were available in the past. Akshay has also given us a glimpse of the front-end and confirms that there were no visible changes to the fascia. 

With the festive season approaching soon, Tata could indeed be readying some new variants in the existing line-up. Stay tuned as we try to dig further on this matter and bring you more information on the mysterious Manza that we see here!
