Just a couple of weeks after it was spotted on test in Chile, Skoda has officially provided the World Wide Web with the first teaser image of the upcoming 2013 Octavia. Now in its third generation, this upcoming model will feature a similar design language seen in the recently launched made-for-Europe Rapid.
The teaser image shows a rather stunning looking tail-lamp design, which again, has been inspired from the Rapid and will eventually make its way into upcoming range of models. We believe that’s a good thing because if the European Rapid is anything to go by, the new Octavia should be a bit of a looker too.

The 2013 Octavia, like the latest-gen Audi A3, is based on Volkswagen’s renowned MQB platform which offers significant cost savings and production flexibility to all of the brands under the VW umbrella.
When launched in Europe, the 2013 Octavia will replace the current model and bridge the gap between the recently launched Rapid and the company’s flagship model, the Superb. Skoda India, meanwhile, is expected to bring the new Octavia here soon after its international launch (Under the Laura brand, of course!)
