Spy Shots – 2014 Ferrari Enzo successor test mule
The first-ever spy shots of the Enzo II/ F70/ Project FX150 prototype have surfaced on the web.

The rumors of a Ferrari Enzo replacement have been flying around the webosphere for years now. And so far, Ferrari had managed to keep their cards close to their heart, but not any more. The first-ever spy shots of the Ferrari Enzo successor have been snapped and are doing rounds on to the Internet. Codenamed the F70, Enzo II and the Project FX150, it is rumored that the Enzo replacement will be shown to a select Ferrari clients later this year, before the model takes its first official public bow at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
The images have been snapped in Germany, where the Prancing Horse was out testing its future range-topper on a secret high-speed track. As seen in the images, the test mule is covered in fully loaded plastic cladding, which has kept various important elements of the car hidden, such as the car's rear wing, leaving more to the imagination. The only visible element that looks new, not to mention stunning is the rear wheel design, which hasn't been used on any other Ferrari model so far. Other key highlights are the flat front nose and the rising rear wings, which resembles to the 458. Rest of the parts on the prototype seems to be borrowed by other Ferrari models such as the makeshift light assemblies and some other components.

At this early stage of development, we can only assume that the engineers were out testing the technical aspects of the car, which most likely could be the rumored 6.2-litre, V12 mid-mounted engine – the same mill that has been housed in the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Power figures are expected to be in the neighborhood of 740PS to 800PS. An additional 120PS will be made available from the Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) that has been derived from Ferrari's Formula One racecar.
Ferrari is targeting performance figures to gun the Bugatti Veyron, which means Ferrari’s new range topper model will aim to fly from 0 to 100kmph in under 2.5 seconds with a top speed on the other side of 408kmph.
