Tata Motors ties up Jayem Automotives to develop performance cars

We can expect the Tata Bolt Sport of the Tiago Sport to be launched under this new joint venture.

Homegrown carmaker, Tata Motors has today announced a 50:50 joint venture with Jayem Automotives Pvt. Ltd., which has been named as JT Special Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. The new venture has been formed to develop special performance vehicles that will be based on the latest range of Tata Motors’ products. The JV between Tata Motors and Jayem Automotives will work towards developing performance oriented and visually appealing niche aspirational products, which will be based on series production vehicles. If all goes well, we might get to see the Tata Tiago Sport or the Bolt Sport, which might be launched under this new JV. JT Special Vehicles Pvt. Ltd., based out of Coimbatore, will develop and manufacture a range of performance cars at a dedicated production line. The JT Special Vehicles facility will include a design centre along with a dedicated assembly line, precision machining tools and product testing facilities under one roof. The new JV will provide next level of vehicle customisations along with improved performance making the vehicles fast and efficient.
