Tata Nexon is going to be the third new launch of the year from the Chakan based manufacturer. And the anticipation surrounding the vehicle is increasing day by day with the surfacing of these spy shots which reveal newer details of the vehicle. The latest ones showcase the interiors of the vehicle clearly along with its exterior profile. Tata Nexon has earlier been showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo and more recently at the Geneva Motor Show. The latest entrant from Tata will be competing in the sought after sub-4 meter compact SUV segment and will compete against the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford Ecosport and Mahindra TUV 300.

By now you must have seen the exterior design of Tata Nexon on several occasions and the design is certainly likeable. The top trim of the compact SUV will come with LED projector headlamps and LED DRLs whereas the rear end will also feature LED taillights. 17 inch alloys, dual tone color scheme and roof rails lend it all the ingredients of a compact SUV. Dimensionally speaking, it will be 3995 mm in length, 1730 mm in width, 1600 mm in height, ground clearance of 200 mm while the wheelbase will be 2470 meters.

Tata Nexon’s latest images reveal the interiors of the new sub-compact which includes an Audi A3 like 6.5-inch floating infotainment system (not retractable) which is available with GPS navigation and also doubles up as a rear camera. The ConnectNext touchscreen infotainment system which has been developed in sync with Harman Kardon will be coupled to JBL speakers. The engines on offer in the Tata Nexon will be a 1.2 litre, 3-cylinder Revotron petrol unit which does duties on the Tiago and Tigor styleback, churns out 82bhp with 114 Nm of torque. On the flip side, there will be a newly developed 1.5 litre diesel engine which generates around 99 bhp of power. The pricing is going to be in the range of INR 6 lakh to INR 8.5 lakh for the top of the line variant which is competitive keeping in mind that the previous three products have also been priced lucratively by Tata Motors.
