Tata Safari Storme to be launched on October 17, 2012

A couple of days back, we broke the news that the Tata Safari Storme will be launched between October 16 and 19, 2012. We have now received confirmed news from sources close to Tata that the Safari Storme will be launched on October 17, 2012.

The Safari Storme was first shown to the Indian audience at the 2012 Auto Expo in New Delhi and will make its commercial debut in a few weeks. The new SUV will co-exist with the current Tata Safari and will boast of better features & creature comforts, refreshed exterior and interior design and updated mechanicals. While the current Safari starts at a little over Rs 8 lakh, we expect the Safari Storme to start under Rs 9 lakh. The top of the line version could cross the Rs 13 lakh mark. Like the Aria and the current Safari, cheaper, BS-III versions of the Safari Storme could be offered as well.
