As a part of its brand new aggressive customer focused strategy called Horizonnext, Tata Motors has officially launched the new Sumo Gold facelift with prices starting at Rs 5.83 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) . The carmaker has made a number of improvements to the rugged old utility vehicle by adding new features and thoroughly upgrading the mechanicals.
The new Sumo Gold gets quite a few first-in-segment features including dual ac and audio system with USB and Bluetooth connectivity. In terms of design, the car features a renewed front grille, new body graphics and larger 15-inch wheels. Underneath, the Sumo Gold gets its power from a 3-litre CR4 engine which pumps out 85PS of power and 250Nm of torque. Additionally, there’s a BS3 compliant model on sale in the form of the Di Turbo BS3 which also gets a 3-litre diesel engine but with slightly power output – 70PS and 223 Nm.
Tata Motors has launched the new Sumo Gold facelift in 5 variants – GX, FX, EX, LX and CX along with a warranty of 3 years or 1 lakh km, whichever is earlier.
