Ahead of the Auto Expo 2018, Tata Motors has emerged as one of the most anticipated car makers to look forward at the Expo. The company has already started its pre-Expo campaign by teasing its upcoming range of cars at the Auto Expo 2018. Of the various products to be displayed at the Expo, one of the most unique products is the Tata Tigor Sport. And now, our sources claim that the Tigor Sport will be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-charged petrol engine. This is the same engine that powers the Tata Nexon sub-compact SUV. The Tigor Sport will also get stiffer suspension setup to aid handling. The Tata Tigor Sport will be the first sub-compact sedan to get a turbo-charged petrol engine in India. In terms of design, the Tigor Sport will be largely similar to the regular model but will get a sportier body kit, black styling and new decals. We can expect the car to get sporty front and rear bumpers, larger air dam, blacked out headlamps and side body skirts. The Tigor Sport is also likely to get a new interior trim with all-black interiors, sporty front seats and new seat upholstery. The company might also offer new features and probably a bigger touch-screen display on the Tigor Sport. We have learned from our sources that the Tata Tigor Sport will be powered by the same 1.2L turbo-charged three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine that powers the Tata Nexon. Our source further reveals that the engine will be slightly de-tuned to offer better drivability, however, power figures are not known yet. As a remainder, the 1.2L turbo-petrol mill produces 108 BHP of power and 170 Nm of torque on the Tata Nexon and comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Tata Motors is expected to use the same gearbox on the Tigor Sport as well. Also Read - Indians Are Buying Lamborghinis But on Car Loans
