Tata Xenon launched in Australia

Continuing with its aggressive export strategy, Tata Motors has launched the Xenon in Australia. Priced at $22,990 (Rs 13.62 lakh in Indian rupee), Tata says this new lifestyle pick up has been extensively tested in Australia and will be sold initially through 15 Tata dealers across the country.

The Xenon will be available in cab chassis, single and dual cab variants with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel configurations. Tata believes there is demand in Australia for a utility range of vehicles with the toughness and value for money equation that the Xenon is capable of delivering.

The Australian-spec Xenon is powered by a Euro 5 emission compliant 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine. The standard features include driver and front passenger airbags, power windows, audio system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity as standard. Customers can also select from a range of optional features like touchscreen navigation system, reverse sensors and a reverse camera.
