Upcoming Porsche Macan will have two V6 engines; To debut at 2013 LA Auto Show

The Macan will go up against the Audi Q5 and the Range Rover Evoque. 

The first details of Porsche’s upcoming model – the Macan are out, thanks to a set of leaked pictures from a Porsche dealer presentation. The Macan undoubtedly is one of Porsche’s most awaited models in recent times as it will mark Porsche’s entry into the premium mid-size SUV market which currently includes the Range Rover Evoque and the Audi Q5.

Set to make its debut at the 2013 LA Auto Show in November, the Macan will be offered with two engine options – a 3-litre V6 for the Macan S and a more powerful 3.6-litre V6 for the Macan Turbo. Both the engines will be paired with Porsche’s 7-speed PDK gearbox as standard.

If Porsche’s full-size SUV – the Cayenne is anything to go by, the Macan could well be just as impressive at blending luxury and performance with daily utility.
