In the global markets, the 2013 Octavia will go on sale in March next year. Since this is one important car for the Indian market, Skoda India is likely to launch it in the same year too. In case you have missed, this new model is based on Volkswagen’s renowned MQB platform and is said to be lighter than the Laura that Skoda sells here.
The 2013 Octavia also boasts of bigger dimensions than the outgoing model, which means there will be more comfort on offer besides a roomier cabin. Also, we are told that Skoda India could bring back the ‘Octavia’ model name after the first generation car got phased out in 2010.
