Video: Aston Martin V12 Vantage S is a record-breaking brute

The V12 Vantage S boasts of more power, more performance and less weight.  

The recently unveiled 2014 V12 Vantage S is officially the fastest accelerating production Aston Martin yet. The British sportscar maker has revealed the performance details of the 2014 V12 Vantage S which confirm that it is slower only next to the limited edition One-77 hypercar.

Taking just 3.9 seconds to sprint from 0-100kmph, the new V12 Vantage S is the fastest accelerating production car Aston Martin has ever made. It is powered by the new ‘AM28’ version of the same 5.9-litre V12 engine that powers the outgoing model. Putting out over 560PS of power, the 2014 V12 Vantage S gains around 50 additional horses over the standard model. The increased power output also means that this new Aston is capable of hitting a genuinely impressive top speed of 330kmph.

The new V12 Vantage S is the final iteration of the V12 Vantage as Aston Martin will soon stop making the sports coupe, four years after it was first unveiled in the year 2009.
