If you're a gamer like most of us in the office here, you'll be glad to know that Codemasters has released a number of in-game videos from the upcoming game GRID2.
After successfully launching F1 2012, Codemasters have revealed the next big game in their line-up, the GRID2 at the Eurogamer Expo. Going on sale in Summer 2013, the game will be made available across all popular gaming platforms (XBOX360, Playstation3 and Windows).
Apart from the ever increasing number of cars and tracks, the attention grabber in this game is the new TrueFeel™ Handling System, which in Codemasters' words, “use real world physics to hit a sweet spot between accessibility and simulation to deliver handling that is approachable yet challenging to master.” Much like the earlier version (Racedriver GRID), GRID2 is expected to be placed very intelligently between the hardcore simulators and the not so involving Arcade titles. Also there will be a proper solution to take care of your multiplayer gaming needs.
But it should be kept in mind that a lot has changed since the Racedriver GRID came out. We hope GRID2 has been developed accordingly. Otherwise it will be like every other arcade game around. Things look great for GRID2. Whether it becomes as popular and as loved as rFactor2 and Forza Motorsports is something worth waiting for.
