Volkswagen India launches Vento TSI at Rs 9.99 lakh

The Vento TSI is powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. 

Following the recent launch of the Polo GT TDI which now holds the crown for the most powerful diesel hatchback in the country, Volkswagen India has announced the launch of the equally exciting Vento TSI. Priced at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) the Vento TSI is powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine which offers impressive performance without compromising on fuel economy. The ARAI-certified figure of 16.93 kmpl backs up the fact.

The turbocharged 1.2-litre unit produces 105 PS of power and an impressive 175 Nm of torque. Mated to it is a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox, which not only improves ease of driving but also helps the Vento TSI deliver a linear surge of acceleration.

Standard equipment on the Vento TSI includes 15-inch alloy wheels, leather wrapped steering wheel, gearshift knob and handbrake lever, climate control, audio system with USB and Bluetooth connectivity, multi-function steering wheel, rear parking sensor and electrically adjustable rear-view mirrors.

In terms of safety features, Volkswagen is offering ABS, dual airbags, ESP and hill hold function. With six different colors to choose from, sales of this new powerful TSI variant have already commenced at select Volkswagen showrooms.
