Mahindra & Mahindra has launched its flagship Electric Origin SUVs, the BE 6e and XEV 9e, redefining electric mobility in India.

Priced at Rs 18.90 lakh and Rs 21.90 lakh, respectively, the vehicles were unveiled at a global premiere, showcasing the brand’s innovative vision for the future of electric vehicles (EVs).
Built on Mahindra’s groundbreaking INGLO electric architecture, the BE 6e and XEV 9e are powered by MAIA (Mahindra Artificial Intelligence Architecture), which boasts the fastest automotive AI brain in the world. These SUVs embody Mahindra’s bold “Unlimit India” vision, aiming to challenge global standards and set new benchmarks in performance, technology, and design.
Performance and Range
The BE 6e and XEV 9e offer impressive performance and efficiency. With a certified range of 682 km for the BE 6e and 656 km for the XEV 9e, both vehicles are equipped with a 79 kWh advanced LFP battery. Charging is ultra-fast, with the ability to charge from 20-80% in just 20 minutes using a 175 kW fast charger.
Performance is also a standout feature. The BE 6e accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, while the XEV 9e reaches the same speed in 6.8 seconds. Both models feature a 3-in-1 integrated powertrain that delivers up to 210 kW of power, ensuring a thrilling drive.
Cutting-Edge Technology
Both SUVs feature MAIA, a next-generation software architecture, which enables seamless over-the-air updates, real-time connectivity, and a wide range of advanced features. The BE 6e and XEV 9e come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chipset, providing smooth performance and enhanced connectivity. Additionally, the vehicles support Wi-Fi 6.0, Bluetooth 5.2, and 5G, ensuring connectivity at all times.
The interiors of the BE 6e and XEV 9e offer luxury and innovation. The XEV 9e features a cinematic “Wide Cinemascope” display, with three 12.3-inch screens creating a 43.5-inch wide spectacle for entertainment. The BE 6e boasts a race-ready digital cockpit with advanced controls for performance-focused driving.
Both SUVs also come with the “VisionX” augmented-reality heads-up display, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and “LiveYourMood” customization, which adjusts seating, lighting, and climate to match different moods. The BE 6e and XEV 9e offer multiple driving modes, including Range, Everyday, and Race, catering to different driving needs.
Safety and Driver Assistance
The BE 6e and XEV 9e are equipped with advanced safety features, including ADAS Level 2+, which provides automated driving assistance through 5 radars and 1 vision camera. Additional safety features include a 360-degree camera system, driver fatigue monitoring, and a unique EyeDentity system that also functions as a selfie camera.
Ownership and Service
Mahindra has committed to providing an exceptional ownership experience. With over 500 specialists for personalized pre-purchase drive experiences and around 400 tech experts for seamless customer service, Mahindra aims to offer unparalleled support. The company’s CHARGE.IN initiative will ensure hassle-free charging with a dedicated relationship manager for each customer.
Launch and Availability
The BE 6e and XEV 9e will be available for bookings from January 2025, with deliveries expected to begin in late February or early March 2025. Mahindra’s launch marks a significant step in its mission to lead the electric revolution, offering Indian consumers world-class EVs with performance, luxury, and technology at their core.
