Maruti Suzuki Ciaz SHVS Diesel Hybrid launch date is September 1, 2015
We reported earlier that Maruti will launch the Maruti Ciaz SHVS Diesel Hybrid in the country in Setember, 2015. Now, MSI has officially announce the launch the Ciaz hybrid in India on September 1, 2015. The company has already started dispatching the sedan to its dealerships around the country, and few dealers have already started taking pre-orders for the car. MSI dealers are also offering a discount of up to 40,000 on the standard Ciaz, which could be the move to exhaust stock.
The new Ciaz SHVS will be equipped with a Smart Hybrid engine that is claimed to offer smoother driving experience and high fuel efficiency. According to media reports, the saloon will come in three variants- VDi, ZDi and ZDi+. The micro hybrid technology used in the Ciaz diesel will automatically switch-off the saloon while stopping at traffic light, and it switches upon releasing the clutch. The sedan also has Blue Technology, and MSI will be the first mass market manufacturer to offer the same.
The current Ciaz diesel is claimed to return an impressive 26.21kmpl of fuel efficiency, while the new Hybrid variant is expected to return around 28kmpl of mileage. With 28kmpl on offer, the Ciaz sedan will be the country's most fuel efficient car.
