Maruti Suzuki Reports Record December Sales, Strong Performance Across Segments

Maruti Suzuki sold 178,248 units in December 2024, with record exports of 37,419 units. Domestic sales rose, driven by strong UV performance and expanding OEM sales.

New Delhi – Maruti Suzuki India achieved record sales in December 2024, delivering 178,248 units. This includes 132,523 domestic sales, 8,306 sales to other OEMs, and a record 37,419 units exported.

Segment-Wise Performance:
Mini and Compact: Sales increased to 62,324 units in December 2024 from 48,298 in December 2023. However, year-to-date sales in this segment declined slightly.
Utility Vehicles (UVs): The UV segment demonstrated strong growth with 55,651 units sold in December 2024, compared to 45,957 in December 2023. Year-to-date UV sales have increased significantly.
Vans: The Eeco-led Vans category saw a slight increase in sales in December 2024.

Export Surge:

December 2024 witnessed a significant surge in exports with 37,419 units shipped, a substantial increase from 26,884 units in December 2023. Year-to-date exports also showed robust growth.

Key Highlights:
Domestic Sales: Total domestic passenger vehicle sales reached 130,117 units in December 2024, compared to 104,778 in December 2023.
OEM Sales: Sales to other OEMs doubled in December 2024.
LCV Sales: LCV sales also registered growth in December 2024.

Year-to-Date Performance:
From April to December 2024-25, Maruti Suzuki achieved total sales of 1,629,631 units, an increase from 1,551,292 units in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
